A family-owned roofing company in White House, TN
Roof Squirrel Roofing is owned and operated by Mike and Kayla Salazar. Mike climbs the roof. That is where the name comes from.
Why they call him Squirrel
Mike Salazar came by the nickname honestly. He climbs. He is known for a fearless, hands-on approach to getting on roofs and inspecting them.
He has 25+ years in residential and commercial roofing and restoration. His roles have run from installer to lead maintenance engineer for large commercial projects.
The nickname stuck, and so did the habit. Squirrel became the company name, and climbing the roof became the way we do every inspection.
Run by Mike and Kayla Salazar
Kayla is Mike’s wife and his business partner of over 20 years. Roof Squirrel Roofing is family-owned and operated, and the two of them run it together.
They share six children, two dogs and a Christian faith. The legal name is Roof Squirrel, LLC. The people behind it are a family.
That matters when you are deciding who to let on your roof. You are dealing with a family that puts its own name on the work.
- Family-owned and operated

A real inspection, done by hand
We get on the roof. We do not rely solely on drones or technology to tell us what is up there. Here is what a hands-on inspection gets you.
Someone actually climbs
A roofer gets on your roof and looks at it up close. Shingles, flashing and drip edge get checked by hand, not guessed at from the yard.
Photos of what we find
Inspection results are photo-documented. You see what we saw without climbing the ladder yourself.
Honest, clear recommendations
You get a straight answer on what needs work and what does not. If a repair will do the job, we say so.
The training behind the climb
Roof Squirrel Roofing is licensed, bonded and insured in multiple states: Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky. We are certified for roofing and storm damage assessments.
The skill set includes catastrophic storm adjusting, thermal imaging and drone piloting. Those tools back up the climb. They do not replace it.
That background helps when a storm is involved. We help with insurance claims and routine replacements alike, on homes and commercial buildings.
An in-house crew with 60+ years combined
The work is done by our in-house team. It is a skilled, consistent crew with over 60 years of combined experience.
Our workmanship is backed by a 3-year warranty. Roofs come first. We also handle gutters and tree removal, because both affect the roof.

Showing up off the roof too
The Salazar family sponsors local sports teams. You will also find them taking part in fall festivals and church events.
Our Tennessee office is at 125 Highway 76 in White House. We also work in Western Kentucky and the Augusta, Georgia area. See our service areas for the full list.
